At Foundations Preschool, we follow a traditional academic-year schedule. Our calendar aligns closely with the Albuquerque Public Schools (APS) calendar to support consistency for families and Citizen Church’s calendar.

Holidays & Planned Closures

Foundations Preschool will be closed on the following days:

  • Labor Day

  • Indigenous People’s Day

  • Veteran’s Day

  • Thanksgiving Break

  • Christmas Eve & Christmas Day

  • New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day

  • President’s Day

These dates — along with any additional planned closures — will appear on our online calendar and are also provided as a printed handout during our orientation. Follows APS and Citizen Church’s calendars closely.

Weather-Related Closures

In the event of severe weather or unsafe conditions, we may close or delay opening. We will notify families as early as possible through our usual communication channels.
